Diamond Theme Discussion

Another theme, another update.
(Make a note that it only looks bigger because I've removed the widgets on the side during the shift to this one. All the themes are this size so don't worry about that.)

So this theme is a lot crisper and cleaner than the last two in my opinion. It's a white based one as well, which was one of my original ideas so obviously I'm in favor of this one.
Pretty much every single button and icon would have to be replaced though from the looks of it. Don't actually like the whole diamond thing
Also add some color replacement in here and there.
I feel it's a platform we can work on, but at the same time it's very different from what we've had for some time.
Thoughts?

I've been thinking about the Sector Competitions and the Arena, which are two of the biggest things that need to be reviewed.
For sure, the media section(fics/vids/art etc etc) is going to get a lot of priority. Where does that leave these two sections?
Atm, I think we should probably just drop the Sector Competitions. Not that I don't think they're a good idea, but rather that we didn't
get that much interaction when we did revive it last time. Another large problem was that the admins/mods (me included) didn't put in the
investment needed to really make it work. I would be happy with having someone handle this project if they'd like, but I'm just not that good at
these sorts of activities.
As for the Arena, it had a lot of the same problems but the onus was on me for that. That was my project and I never managed to fully roll it out.
I just never had the time to really design and manage the system. My only thought (again, besides dropping it) is to make it run less like the mmo style where everyone was in the same little universe and more like a roleplay session with a bunch of smaller groups being handled by a DM. That's an idea I would really go for since it basically lets each group decide what rules they like AND it puts a lot less strain on me as a manager.
(^ The end result of this would essentially be a merging of the roleplay and Arena sections I think.)

I do not like white for XL, I'm sorry. I don't feel like it fits.

I like it, but perhaps a beige, not a white for the background

It's got too much gray and white, Atlas. It needs more color to flesh it out. At least subsilver2 has blues.

However, I don't want to discount the possibility completely, I do prefer a lighter background with a dark circles ntrasting text to the opposite. For readability purposes it's better, at least in my opinion.

I want a darker background. This beige and the background are too light. I'm fine with the gray in the posts, but not the whites.
